idioms. third graders. and esl students. yes.

(a bit of background)

She rides with me on the way to school and often tells me what she
has been learning in class.

She is an ESL student (she was adopted from Ukraine a bit over a year ago)
and she usually has great stories.

Yesterday, she was telling me how she was learing about idioms.

yes. idioms.

I laughed my silly little head off and my day was that much better.

Now I can make yours better.

yay! aren't you lucky.

haha. yup.

anyhow...

(p.s. these aren't all wrong. But idioms are pretty darn great)

1. The cat is coming out of the bag
2. Hold your horses
3. Bang the road
4. Pay through your arms and legs (pay through your nose?)
5. You're pushing me down a wall
6. It's dripping cats and horses (not even kidding)
7. You're driving me oranges (yes. just yes)
8. Get off my head (back?)
9. You're jumping into my throat (disturbing)
10. Your driving me cashews (a specific type of nuts.)

Oh yes. yes. yes. and yes.
