what I thrifted: faux fur vest!

shirt: brother's (Old Navy), vest: thrifted, jeans: Old Navy, boots: thrifted, earrings: gift,
belt: thrifted, various bracelets: gifts and thrifted

October must be the month of thrifting. I have found some amazing finds that
I seriously cannot believe someone would give away.
Like this vest.
I've been wanting a faux fur vest for. oh. about 2.93 billion years.
But this girl doesn't have the budget to spend $75 on a vest.
So I found this one. And grabbed it. And danced because I was so excited. And paid $15 for it.
Holla!
I almost peed in my pants I was so excited.

Who else is loving the lazy messy hair trend?
The messier, the better.
I hate spending more than 5 minutes on my hair (yeah. you can tell.) so messy hair is great.
Messy hair and top knots.
I love my top knots.

I'm a November lover. I love November.

Would someone please explain to me how it is nearly November?
Honestly! Where did October go?
Though I can't say I really mind that it's almost November.

{Holla at me November lovers!}

i love thanksgiving. and black Friday. and the weather. and getting ready
for Christmas. It's all just so perfect.
As much as I love fall (and October), November is probably my favorite month.
Though I do say that about ever new month, don't I?

Anywho, it's time for that annoying post that happens once a month about advertising and such.
But I really don't want to write about how great my blog is and why
you should trade ads with me or buy a sponsor spot...because posts like that seriously irk me.
So let's just say if you're interested in sponsoring Randomness, go check out the sponsor page

Yay! Now that that's over with, I'm trying to find some great fall/winter desserts.
Any suggestions?

Confession

I have a confession to make.
These photos aren't from this past weekend.
Or the weekend before that.
Yes. they are from like 3 weeks ago.
But it really was an excellent outdoors market.

I love me some words of wisdom.

I've got a favorite little blog that I like lots.
Yes. I know. I have a lot of favorites.
But seriously. There are a lot of really great blogs out there.
Anyway, Running on Happiness is a fantastic blog and you should check it out.
Katie had an excellent post yesterday she said I could share with you.

{and this is Katie:}

{she's pretty cool}

Style does not equal an expensive price tag.Nor does an expensive price tag equal style.
Confidence is sexy.
...so is a little black dress.
High heels are your leg's best friend, and your feet's worst enemy.
Always wear mascara. If anything, it will look dramatic when you cry.
Beauty is evident in your soul; not just your skin.
The best sense of humor is the one that can laugh at itself.
Set your own trends.
Don't be afraid to be you; live loud.
If you worry about what other people think of you, you'll never know what you think of yourself.
Besides, worrying only gives you wrinkles.
If it doesn't make you proud, don't do it.
Live in the moment. The past is gone; the future undetermined.
When you are having a bad day, turn it around.
Ice cream makes everything better.
Sing loud. Dance often. Rock out with a serious air guitar.
And when all else fails, don't forget to smile.

Partner Introductions: Lily Garay @ As She Writes

Hey guys! I want to introduce you to one of my amazing blog partners: Lily!

I really like music and if you asked me my favorite genre I’d tell you: Electronica and dubstep.
Yes. I already have one recorded song and have preached to many children from around the globe.
I like to write stories and devotionals.
I love my family and I love my friends.
I like to think of my life as a song and myself as lyrics and a mic

with God as my DJ. I am Miss Lily Garay.

Isn't she the coolest?
Seriously. Check out her music sight and
blog. They are awesome.

haircuts and blackmail.

More coming tomorrow!
(I promise!)
And yes. That second photo is horribly awkward.
But Cameron (little bro. + photographer) said he liked it.
So it's here.
Us models (psshh. this girl aint no model) have no way whatsoever in what
goes up on these blogs.
It's blackmail, I tell you!

If wishes and dreams came true. (how's that for a title?)

If this girl wasn't on a budget
{confession: I don't have enough moolah for a budget.
did I seriously just say moolah?}
I would gleefully bound around online shops and purchase me my dreams.
But because that really isn't going to happen any time soon,
they'll just stay dreams and wishes.
And will float around my head like bubbles waiting to be popped and released.
Sometimes I astound myself with my poetry.

I'm defying all laws.

shirt: thrifted, scarf: local vendor, skirt: thrifted, shoes: thrifted, belt; thrifted

I made molasses cookies.
And they didn't burn, explode, or dissolve into a pile of crumbs!
I like to pretend I can cook. I really can't.
But I think I may have defied all laws of what is up and down yesterday by making something
that is actually edible.
It was beautiful. They were beautiful. The whole world was beautiful.
And then I ate one. And it was like dancing in the rain. (really? you say.)
I had to have more. It was perfect - warm, sweet - but not too sweet, slightly gooey in the middle,
properly sugared on the outside, and perfectly thick.

{and for all of you who may care - I really don't care if you do or don't, they were healthy!
I was pretty proud of myself. No sugar {sucanat!} and I used self-ground flour.
And they were still amazing! This never happens to me!
Every time I try and make a recipe healthier, they come out way
too chewy or hard or bitter or course.
But these were simply addicting.}
