let the blogging commence

shirt: target, skirt, F21, belt: thrifted, scarf: vendor in Charlottesville

I've missed all of you this past summer and am beyond excited to rejoin the blogging scene!
I've got loads of outfits to post, some exciting DIY's and hair tutorials, and pages of stories about my life you never wished to hear!
Get excited, loves! Randomness is back in business! (I've always wanted to say that)

tshirt days

tshirt: c/o my dad, shorts: old navy, watch: target, shoes: charlotte russe, necklace: peru

I have those days where I would like nothing better to stay in my pajamas, drink numerous cups of earl of grey, curl up on my couch in an old wool blanket, and read a Jane Austin novel. These days are frighteningly frequent. So I turn to my trusty tshirt, statement necklace, shorts or jeans, and mustard flats and we're all good. (Actually, it's one of my dad's undershirts...the looser, the better. And it has a faint old spice smell. I love that.)

Beginning tomorrow, I'm going to be stepping down as the blogs main author for a bit - though no longer than a month. I need a little break and have some work I really need to buckle down and finish up. But no worries! My beautiful sister will be taking over for the next bit. She has a great personal style, is much more crafty than I am (be expecting DIYs!), and have I mentioned how crazy beautiful she is?! You guys won't even want me back after getting to hang with her for a while! She's that cool. So farewell for a bit! I'll be back before you even realize I'm gone!

My Love Affair With Lebanese Cuisine

I'll be the first to admit my obsession with Lebanese Cuisine. I cannot get enough of the fresh flavors and gritty textures - beyond delicious!  I love the grape leaves, kebabs, pita, labne, baklava, hummus, olives, tabbouleh...Anybody else feeling just a bit hungry?
My absolute favorite Lebanese restaurant is this adorable little cafe known as Neomonde. If you're ever in the Raleigh area, go check it out! Who knows, you may just see me there. I have a love affair going on with that place.

NC Women's Show

I'm baaaaack! I've emerged from the deep, dark, pajama wearing hole known as exam season. (Personally, my least favorite season of them all.) And let me tell you, it feels good! The sun is shining! The birds are chirping! And the world is as it should be - exam free for another bunch of months!

In other news, I was given the opportunity to attend the NC Women's Show and just had a blast! I met some really sweet entrepreneurs - I have a new respect for business owners. Belk was there and had tons of makeup booths set up. I was in heaven, I tell ya!
